The ANIMA Leadership Conference
Founded through a partnership between the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Soulful Impact, and ONE HUNDRED, the The ANIMA Leadership Conference explores the ANIMA model of leadership, which symbolizes a truly soulful approach to the enormous privileges and responsibilities embedded in leadership. In a global, increasingly interconnected society, the leaders who create the greatest impact will be those who serve, mentor, and inspire others. The College of Mount Saint Vincent is honored to welcome such leaders as part of this valuable model.
In our first three-day Conference in the Summer of 2017, Omaze co-founder Ryan Cummins gave the keynote address. In our November 2017 conference, Sharon Callahan, Chief Client Officer of Omnicom Health Group, presented the keynote.
On April 11th 2018, the College of Mount Saint Vincent hosted the ANIMA Leadership Conference: Leading for the Common Good. Our most recent keynote speaker was Paul Polman, the CEO of Unilever. Through his work toward the common good, sustainability, and business leadership, Mr. Polman actively seeks cooperation with other companies to implement long-term business strategies and drive systemic change. He is chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, and sits on the Board of the United Nations Global Compact and the Consumer Goods Forum, where he co-chairs the Sustainability Committee. Under his leadership, Unilever has an ambitious vision to increase their positive social impact through the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan. Mr. Polman has played a significant role in developing the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and works to promote action toward their delivery. His commitment to the SDGs also inspired him and others to establish the Business and Sustainable Development Commission and publish a flagship report, Better Business, Better World, which serves as a call to action for business leaders to align with the Sustainable Development Goals.
